When will students be required to use Multi-Factor Authentication?

  • Posted on April 4, 2022
  • By Jerry Pearson

We are trying to get all staff and faculty onto MFA before we move forward with students, however we are expecting for students to be utilizing MFA by the fall of 2022.

Will I be expected to reauthenticate (e.g., sign back in using Multi-Factor Authentication) throughout the day?

  • By Jerry Pearson

You will only be expected to reauthenticate if you log out of MyDTCC or if you have been timed out of the application.

If I authenticate (e.g., sign in to MyDTCC) using Multi-Factor Authentication, will I need to use MFA to access any other college resources (e.g., email, O365, D2L)?

If you authenticate with MyDTCC will not need to use MFA to access additional resources that you connect to through MyDTCC. Your computer will hold on to a token which will tell any additional accounts that you have signed in.

If your computer has not been updated for a long period of time , updates may take about one hour. The actual time will depend on the amount of data on the computer and internet connection speed but may take between 30 minutes and two hours.
