Delaware Technical Community College upgraded your email technology this summer. Read below about the great changes coming your way!

OUTLOOK 2016 & OFFICE 365 FEATURES

Intelligent email inbox that can de-clutter itself

Microsoft’s Clutter feature will use your mailbox rules to automatically organize your email so high-priority messages are visible first. Other email will be moved to the Clutter folder so you can view it later.

Reply in-line to email without opening it

Enable the Reading Pane in Outlook to reply to email without even opening it. The Reading Pane will allow you to preview the email content, hit Reply and send your response, in the same main Outlook window. Combine this feature with the Conversations View and you’ll see at a glance if you’ve already replied to an email. You won’t have to open different windows for each message.

Work anywhere from any device

You can work on your cloud files from any up-to-date Web browser on an Internet-connected computer. You also get access to Office Mobile Apps so you can work directly from your smartphone or tablet while you’re on the move! Download them from your Android or iOS device store.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs for Students and Retirees

How do I access the new email? How do I know if I’ve been migrated?

Continue accessing email the same way as always.  Click on ‘Email’ from MyDTCC or use https://webmail.dtcc.edu and you’ll be redirected to login to whichever system has your mailbox.  If you have not been migrated, the email will look the same as it has in the past with a green theme.  If you have been migrated, you will see “outlook.office365.com” in your URL bar and “Office 365” at the top left of the page.

When will I have access to the new email system?

Students registered for fall will have migrated email accounts prior to the fall semester. Migrations for other student and retirees begin on August 6. Email will still be available for everyone throughout this process.

Where did my old email go?

By default, you will see a “focused” view of your mail folders.  All of the email from the old system was copied to a “Migrated Email” folder.

Instructions for accessing older emails can be found here.
